I would also like someone to make a version of an old song called "The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" by Bobby Vee OTHER than the version on Sunfly SF009.

There are a couple of good versions of this. Zoom has an entire Bobby Vee disc, ZMP 024, that has some really good songs on it besides that one, plus a couple of medleys (one fast and one slow).

While I know you're not happy with SC at the moment, I still feel the best rendition of this song is on SC8429 50's & 60's Vol. 11. There are a number of great songs from that era on the disc.

Also if you like Gene Pitney ZMP004, is an all Pitney disc with some really good songs on it.

I hesitate to post this, as it's mostly just for me rather than my singers, but I would love to see something other than "Venom Wearin' Denim" from Junior Brown. Maybe "My Wife Thinks You're Dead" or "Joe The Janitor"?

Lately, I've had several requests for "I Never Go Around Mirrors".. The song was originally done by Lefty Frizzell, and then covered by Merle Haggard (among others)... Now, apparently, Mark Chesnutt has done a version.

I've made the request at Karaoke Version Dot Com...

The second is Johnny Cash's "Cocaine Blues"... I've never been able to find it anywhere... so I made my own using KBS... Surprisingly, it didn't turn out too bad.

Both of these songs were very popular in their time, and I can't believe at least one of the majors haven't put out a Karaoke version... especially considering some of the obscure and / or junk titles that are available.

Some of my favourite songs I can't find on karaoke for love nor money...

Clarence Carter : Looking for a fox
Clarence Carter : Take it off him (and put it on me)
Curtis Mayfield : Soul music
Curtis Mayfield : Give me your love
Curtis Mayfield : Ain't no love lost
Curtis Mayfield : Pusherman
Curtis Mayfield : Tripping out
Ohio Players : A thing called love
Ohio Players : Fopp
J.J. Cale : Call me the breeze
J.J. Cale : I'll make love to you anytime
J.J. Cale : Carry on
J.J. Cale : Down To Memphis
J.J. Cale : Closer to you
The Corries : Tiree love song
The Corries : Flood Garry
Average White Band : Got the love
Average White Band : Soul searching
The Meters : People say
Howard Tate : She's a Burglar
Prince : I could never take the place of your man [I think this is now available on Karaoke Version, but I would prefer to get it on CDG if possible]
Lord Tanamo : I'm in the mood for love
Brook Benton : Endlessly (slow version)
Everly Brothers : I'm on my way home again
Mayer Hawthorne : The ills
Mayer Hawthorne : One track mind
Mayer Hawthorne : Make her mine
Mayer Hawthorne : Let me know
Solomon Burke : Sidewalks fences and walls
Solomon Burke : Everybody needs somebody to love [so far I've sampled the one and only version on Selecta Tracks, and it is just like the Blues Brothers recording, and nothing like the original which is much slower]
Solomon Burke : Keep looking
Solomon Burke : Nothing's impossible
Wilson Pickett : If you need me
Buckner & Garcia : Do the funky broadway [the Wilson Pickett version is available on several websites, but I find that too short. This version lasts nearly four minutes.]
The Drifters : Pour your little heart out
Larry Williams & Johnny Watson : A quitter never wins
Paul Anka : When we get there
Paul Anka : Can't help loving you
Paul Anka : Don't gamble with love [original version from the 50s, like that of the B-side to Diana].
Don Ray : Born a loser
Little Richard : A little bit of something
Bill Withers : Kissing my love
Maceo Parker (& All The Kings Men) : Got to getcha
John Denver : Gimme your love
Glen Campbell : Good riddance (time of your life)
Lee Dorsey : Freedom for the stallion
Cat Stevens : Here comes my baby
Steve Winwood : Dirty city
John Martyn : Dreams by the sea

That will do for now!

[Edited to add: I have transferred the majority of this list into this post in the Karaoke Version requests thread, with links to the relevant pages. I will leave this post here in the hope that any other manufacturers reading this thread will pick up on it and make some of my songs!]

Karaoke-Version does have an mp3+G available for immediate purchase: http://www.karaoke-version.com/karaoke/prince/i-could-never-take-the-place-of-your-man.html but it is not available on any CD+G Disc.

Thanks for this information Kevin. Unforunately my local KJ won't play anything unless it from an "official" CDG - I can't really blame her though. Hopefully now that KaraokeVersion has made it, it will open the floodgates for more manufacturers to pick up on. As far as I'm aware, K.V. tracks never fade, like Zoom and Sound Choice.

SC don't fade their tracks, at least none i've heard that I can recall, all have a definitive ending.
